A hit of the week.

Our friends the Friemanns were kind enough to invite us up to their "cabin" for a couple days over break. I say cabin loosely because it is a 8 bedroom house that we stayed in. We had a wonderful time sledding, playing, bowling, ping pong, eating, and enjoying a few adult beverages. It was a perfect way to spend our break and my 30th birthday. Jen called Pete and they set up a lot of fun activities on my birthday that they knew I would enjoy. I am lucky to have such a wonderful husband and friends. I know there is a ridiculous amount of pictures, but it was hard to pick from the 300 I took.

Mommy Claire

Claire has become a lot more interested in her babies and barbies lately. She pretends both of them are her babies and she likes to feed them, rock them, and put them to bed. Today she decided her barbie needed to eat so she had her in the high chair. She is very sweet with them and I love listening to her talk to them. She is definitely growing up too fast for my liking.

Daddy Day Care

I think the liquor bottles holding the fort up adds character.

When we switched day cares we decided to save money and only send Claire part time so the other weekdays she is lucky enough to spend with her dad. It has been great for both of them and Claire adores her dad even more now. The other day Pete decided to make a fort with our dinning room table and Claire loved it. He even used her favorite tunnel to get in and out of it. They read books and even had snack in their fort. When I got home I also got to spend some time in their fort. Claire is one lucky girl to have such a fun dad.

Cute Cousins

My mom wanted to see Megan, Andrew and of course Baby Carter so we had them over for dinner a couple weeks ago. Claire loves her little cousin and she had a great time playing with him. We even got them to have bath time together. It was pretty cute if I say so myself.

Best Friends

I don't think I can explain how much Claire loves her Riley. A day doesn't go by that she isn't all over him. I love that they are good buds even if Riley doesn't always feel the same way. He is a great sport about almost everything and lets her get away with way to much. Her new thing is standing on a stool and trying to jump on top of him so she can ride him like a horse. Never a dull moment at the Berling house.

Just like dad!

Grandma Betsy, Claire and I met the Skarphols at Chuck-E-Cheese a couple weeks back. Claire had only been there once before and she was quite a bit younger then so this was her first real experience there. I wasn't sure what she would think, but she did pretty well. She wasn't sure about the rides right away, but she found a couple favorites and stuck to them. I think her favorite things were running around and people watching, but I can't blame her for that. I was another great night with my mom and favorite little girl.

Swimming with Grandma Betsy

Grandma Betsy was nice enough to swim with Claire at her lessons. It was a nice break for her mom and I got the opportunity to take some pictures. Claire was a little sad that I wasn't getting in, but then I hid and she did great with Grandma. I wasn't able to get as many pictures as I would have liked, but at least I have some to put in her scrapbook.

Uncle Mikey

Claire adores her Uncle Mikey and really enjoyed having him over. Ever since she was baby she has loved him so much and loves listening to him talk. It is pretty stinkin' cute if I say so myself. Poor Mikey even had to sit in the bathroom while she got a bath. Thank goodness he was such a good sport. We will definitely have to plan more regular get togethers with her Uncle Mikey.

Zoo with some of my favorites

My mom, Claire and I met Jennie, Brynn and Cara at the MN Zoo a couple weeks back. We had a blast together and enjoyed our girl time.

School Carnival

Can you say trouble! :)

My school had a carnival so I thought it would be fun for my mom, Claire and I to go. Claire loved running around and watching all the people. She wasn't sure about the games, but she loved the candy. She also enjoyed the bouncy maze. I was worried she wouldn't know what to do, but that wasn't the problem at all. Once she got to the end she realized she would have to get out so she turned around and went back to the middle. She stayed just far enough that I couldn't reach her. It was pretty funny to Grandma and Claire, but not as much for mom. I can only imagine what all the families were thinking. :)
