Diego and Rides

It was Tuesday so the girls and I headed to the MOA for Toddler Tuesday.  Aunt Megan, Carter, and Bri met us there so it was even more fun.  Claire was very excited to meet Diego from Dora the Explorer.  The kids didn't last long after meeting Diego so we headed to the rides.  Bri was sweet enough to go on the rides with Claire so I could hold Ainsley which I very much appreciated.

Our friends Angie and Chad had their second baby boy a couple weeks ago so we had to go and visit and meet baby Luke.  He is just as adorable as his big brother Jack.  Claire and Jack have a great time playing together and this time was no different.  At one point all we could hear was hysterical laughing coming from Jack's bedroom.  It was a great night with great friends.

Pete and I thought we deserved a night out so Megan was sweet enough to babysit our girls.  Of course Claire was so excited because she adores her Aunt Mae-Mae like I'm sure Ainsley will in no time.  Megan brought Carter along which made it even more fun for Claire because she calls him her best friend.  Megan was sweet enough to take a couple pictures that night which I really appreciate.

8 Weeks Old

My girl turned 8 weeks old and decided it was time to roll over.  I put her down for some tummy time and I turned to grab something and when I looked back she was on her back.  I thought I was crazy so I put her back on her tummy and she did it again.  Of course I needed to get it on video so after six times of putting her on her tummy I finally was fast enough to get it on tape.  The poor girl was getting a little tired by the sixth time, but she's such a good sport.  We are lucky to have such a sweet little girl.
Other highlights about Ainsley:
     * She eats 4 ounces every 4 hours.
     * She goes to bed at 8 pm and wakes up once about 3 am and sleeps until 6:30 or 7 am.
     * She loves the lamb chair that we borrowed from the Andersons.
     * She sleeps great in the Bjorn and spends most evenings in it.
     * She lets her sister hold and feed her all the time.

We headed to La Crosse a couple weekends ago for a family friend's benefit.  Pete's brother and his wife organized the benefit and did an amazing job.  Claire had a blast dancing, socializing, playing, and getting her face painted twice.  Yep, our girl had the her face painted twice but the money went to a good cause so I thought it was worth it.  Ainsley was a great girl too.  She loves the baby bjorn so she spent a good amount of time on me, but I didn't mind. :)  I have to say that they were both amazing in the car.  It's a 2 1/2 hour drive one way and we went down and back in one day and we didn't have any crying.  Claire even napped on the way down because we told her she had too if she wanted to go to the "party" and my girl never misses a party.

Our friends Beth and Jason recently had twins.  They have a son who was born two months after Claire so all of our children are very close in age.  I was very excited to meet Emily and Will, but I thought it might be a lot if I brought both girls along so just Ainsley and I spent a couple hours with them.  They are so tiny and adorable.  We had a great time together.

We had a girls night with Jennifer, Hannah, and Addison so they could meet Anisley and the older girls could play.  It was a fun night of catching up and enjoying pizza.  I have to say that these four girls are pretty cute!

Farm Babies

Every year the MN Zoo has month when they feature farm babies and we always make sure to visit at least once during this time.  Claire loves seeing and feeding the animals.  This Tuesday we met Megan and Carter there which made it even better for Claire because they are two of her favorite people.  I love watching the friendship grow between Claire and Carter.  They are such good buddies.  Ainsley was a great sport and slept most of the time we were there.  I am one lucky mom to have such amazing little girls.

Tackle!

Claire's favorite game with her dad is Tackle!  It's hard to explain the fun they have together so I hope these pictures show a little glimpse of it.  I think these pictures also show why Claire has NO fear.  I hope she realizes how lucky she is to have such a fun dad.

Claire was so excited to go fishing at the cabin that she asked about every 10 minutes from the moment she woke up.  Unfortunately Papa Rich and Pete needed to put the dock in first so it was a long 9 hours before she actually got to go fishing.  We were very proud of her because she continued to ask, but when we told her not yet she was a great sport.  After a lot of work and of course help from Claire they were able to fish off the dock.  They even got to take a short ride on the boat.  Ainsley and I stayed on dry land, but we also enjoyed the 70 degree weather. We are so lucky to have a fun place to visit.
