Carter Day

Carter found us very exciting.

Megan has class every Monday and she wasn't able to find someone to watch Carter a couple weeks ago so I took a personal day to spend time with my sweet nephew and my girl. We had so much fun together. We even used our wagon to walk to the park. Carter loved the swing and Claire loved chasing birds. I will be watching Carter every Monday this summer so it was just the start of fun days together.

Sleepover

Since Pete was gone for the weekend and Darren had class on Saturday, Jennie and the girls came up for a sleepover. We have stayed there a couple times, but this was a first for them to stay here. We were all a little nervous about sleeping, but everyone did great. Jennie and I were even able to enjoy some adult beverages and play some Yahtzee once the kids went to bed. On Saturday we went to Lookout Ridge in Woodbury for a little play time. It was a great way to start to our weekend.

Aunt Mae-Mae Day

Claire's day care was closed for a day and Pete was in Ohio visiting a friend so Megan graciously said she could watch Claire. Claire loves her days with Aunt Mae-Mae and her cousin Carter. They had a great time playing and watching videos together. Aunt Mae-Mae even got piggy tails in her hair. Thank goodness Claire has an aunt who can do that stuff because we all know it's not her mom's strength.

Special Visit

My brother Larry and his wife Jen came to visit a couple weeks ago. We had a great time catching up and Claire loved all the attention she received from them. One of her favorite activities was looking through Jen's purse. Jen was very patient with her inquisitive niece. We also had a great dinner at my brother Mikey's house. Pete had to work so he wasn't able to come, but the rest of us had a great time. It has been a while since I've been with both brothers at the same time so it was a great night.
