Toddler Tuesday With My Girls!!!

I love having all this time to spend with my favorite two girls.  This was our first big outing with just the three of us and it went even better than I expected.  I wanted to pack our lunch, but Ainsley wasn't cooperating so Claire offered to rock her in her carseat and sing to her.  As always Ainsley stopped crying and fell asleep with the help of her big sister.  I know that we are very lucky that Claire has adjusted so well to her new role as a big sister.  After we had our lunches packed we were off to the Mall of America for Toddler Tuesday and Sea Life.  The Okee Dokee Brothers were great and Claire had a blast dancing to their music.  I would say our day was a success.

All Things Easter

I love holidays and everything that comes with them.  Now that Pete has every weekend and holiday off it makes the holidays even more enjoyable.  We had a great time coloring eggs together.  Claire thought we needed to leave the Easter Bunny treats like we do Santa so we left crackers, carrots and milk for him.  In the morning the snacks were gone and he left a note for Claire telling her to find 10 eggs he hid around the house along with her basket.  She had a great time searching the house and was able to find all the eggs and basket.  Later that day we all headed to Pete's cousin Kjerstin's house for the Easter gathering.  They had an Easter egg hunt for the young kids which was a big hit.  Ainsley wasn't having as much fun as the rest of us so we didn't get to stay as long as we would have liked, but it was nice seeing everyone before we had to head home.

Grandma Betsy and Papa Jeff

My mom was with us for over three weeks and my dad stayed with us for a week and it took until the day they left to get a picture of them with the girls.  I'm just glad we got a good one before they had to leave.  They definitely look to young too be grandparents. :)

Sisters!

I can't express how great Claire has done with her sister, but I think some of these pictures will show her true love for her sister.  I think they will be the best of friends.

Toddler Tuesday

Being on maternity leave has given us time to enjoy activities during the week.  This week we went to the Mall of America for Toddler Tuesday with Aunt Mae-Mae and Carter.  The Easter Bunny was there so we got there early to get in line.  Then we enjoyed some rides before having lunch together and heading home for naps.  Thank goodness Aunt Mae-Mae would go on the rides with Claire since I had Ainsley.

First Cabin Visit

Papa Rich purchased a cabin last fall, but Claire, Ainsley and I haven't been able to see it until recently.  Claire was very excited for the trip and her excitement continued when we got there.  She kept saying that she loved everything at the cabin.  My parents were in town so they came with too.  We did a lot of playing outside and Papa Jeff and Pete did some work around the cabin.  It was a great first visit.  I see many fun family times at the cabin in the future.

Easter Egg Hunt

This is the our annual Easter Egg Hunt and we had a great time again this year.  So many of our friends were there too so it made it even more fun.  Claire had a blast finding her colored eggs and seeing what was inside of them.  It is a pretty quick hunt, but she didn't seem to mind.  She loved the Easter Bunny and couldn't have enough of him.  She kept going back to him and wanting to hug or high five him.  It was pretty sweet.  Her cousin Carter was a little unsure about the Easter Bunny and Claire worked very hard to get him near the bunny.

Make Your Own Conclusions

Claire never lacks energy or excitement so it didn't surprise us when she was dancing on the couch, but the outfit is something else.  She is always our constant entertainment and we love it.

Grandma Betsy's Birthday

It was nice that Grandma Betsy was here for her birthday so of course we had to celebrate with cake and ice cream.  Uncle Mikey came over for dinner and Claire loved that because Mikey gives her the attention  she loves.
